The reasons to invest physical gold or silver

There are lots of reason to invest in physical gold or silver. Here are few of them:

1. All through history, in times of economic trouble, humans beings have gravitated towards gold and silver because it is very difficult to manipulate gold and silver, while it is very easy to manipulate paper currency. Gold and silver are the only currencies not created and controlled by governments.
2. The U.S. dollar is weak and getting weaker due to national economic policies which don't appear to have an end. The pressures of enormous debts will increasingly tempt the United States to inflate the U.S. dollar so much that it will become almost worthless. Precious metals have been a solid hedge against a declining U.S. dollar. Many investors buy gold and silver as a hedge against inflation.
3. Precious metals have been a proven safe-haven in times of war, political strife and uncertainty.
4. Huge and growing gap between mine supply and traditional demand. Investment demand for silver and gold is accelerating. As people in India, China etc. become more affluent they will want more gold and silver thus prices will continue to rise. (i.e increased demand). Worldwide gold and silver production is not matching consumption.
5. Gold and silver bullion is very liquid bullion, so therefore easy to sell and buy.
